So honestly could you say that you feel great and strong? How did you decide to stop?
How did you choose when to stop? Special date? Im about to start my dry stage as of Monday. Not sure how to prepare and what to do.

Just got tired of drinking, really. I never drank every day, all day, etc. It was something to do at night a few times a week, sometimes, weeks off or a 30 day here and there. When I did drink I'd drink anywhere from 2 to 10 beers (say if I started at 4:30 in the afternoon 'til nine or ten and it was light beer) - The sleep as we all know, is not real sleep when you drink all night and then lie down. The next day is always like "meh, why again?" and I'd be nursing the hangover.

Drank alot of water, coffee, fruit juice. Ate whatever appealed to me at the time. I did have a thought of getting some beer about a week ago, but it lasted 5 minutes, I just told myself that if I drank, I would feel like &@* for a week or two. That also happened - I'd drink one night and then not drink for a few days or a week, and I'd feel out of it. Even if I drink two beers... it turns into a pattern. Easier not to drink at all! Good luck!

Thank you for sharing. For the past 8 years I have not had dry weekend ever. Very scared of them. What scares me is the length of weeeeeeeekend. Never ending boring time. Im planning to stop my drinking as of Monday. I think I might be ok for 2 days and then not sure.
