serious about sobriety
That's it, I have finally reached the point where I never want to touch another drop of alcohol again in my life.... I know we've heard it all before, but I always really still wanted to drink in my previous attemps at staying sober.
Yesterday I consumed 3 liters of cider, a bottle of MD 20 20 and 2 cans of beer, alone at home.
I was wasted beyond belief and puked up on the carpet....but I still managed to finish the last 2 beers after puking!
What a terrible thing for my mum to see me that drunk.
Well day 1 and i'm feeling better already.

Hi Hendrix-
Ok, good start. Now that you truly have a desire to stop drinking, then just quit, right?
...but what if you can't stop?
Maybe it's time to let go of some old ideas.
I had to change who I was or the same me will drink again, and again, and again.
Maybe this is true with you too?
Kjell~

Read through some of the stories of recovery here, get help, develop a recovery plan and work it one day at a time.
You need to make some serious changes and it will be hard work but very much worth it.

OK thanks everyone!
this is only day 2 but I'm determined to make it this time,
hopefully I'll be able to update here when I've got some real time under my belt.
Plan for now is to use SR daily and I will have the support of my family if I start to get cravings again.

Hi hendrixstrat
Your plan for recovery is as good as any other program out there. Never give up the quest for a better life...sober.
