I'm over 30 days now, and on Monday morning I woke up wiht the most awful thumping headache - it was just like a hangover! It lasted for most of the day - My husband seemed to think it's still toxins coming out, but surely after a month everything has gone?

Were you able to get rid of it by taking tylenol, advil or aspirin? It could be that it had nothing to do at all with alcohol withdrawal, etc.

Yeah, I get headaches due to stress. Could it be something like that?

If the aspirin doesn't fix it, you might want to talk to your dr.

Yes, it did go eventually with ibuprofen, but I just wondered if there was still 'bad stuff'(!) in me coming out! I thought it 72 hours for the alcohol to leave the system?. Maybe just a stress headache though. Thanks!

sinuses causing headaches, stuffy noses, sore
throats.

I had headaches for a couple of months after quitting. I'm sure it was related to quitting.

Took lots of aspirin. Aspirin is supposed to be good for you anyway.

I get them every once in a while since I quit (49 days) and mine are from stress/anxiety, in fact I'm fighting one today. They are getting less and less for me as I learn to deal with my daily life without drowning all my problems in alcohol. Lying down in a quiet dark place for a bit sometimes helps me but for some reason my boss frowns on that at work

Tylenol Sinus....I bet it's a sinus headache, they suck! It's that time of year.

i had a wicked sinus headache last week too...the pollen was high....I woke up with it.

tylenol and a bagel helped. don't take the meds on an empty tummy.
