Hobbies In Sobriety

It seems I've taken up a new hobby since becoming sober. I like to run a few miles a day. Mostly on a treadmill but sometimes on the street as well. It's kinda funny because before I had trouble walking the 6 blocks to the liquor store or bar. Now I can run 3 miles a day! I have other hobbies as well but probably are not as healthy. What are some other peoples hobbies???

My hobby is working out. I also like to build computers. Although i don't get hands on other than my PC I own i keep track and read about the upcoming home pc parts.

I am also a fan of filtered water. Yeah, I sit around and read about different ways to clean water.

I don't smoke or drink anymore.

I've eaten absolutely no fast food for going on 5 years now. Even when i was a drinker I didn't eat it.

So, as you can see I read about healthy things and work out. And other than work that's about all i do.

I re newed my lapsed private piolets license
I started a new career path that had no drinking memories
I began being active in my community as a volunteer

These all required clear thinking and action...

I read a lot more than I did when I was using. My attention span is longer and I'm not so tired all the time.

Radio controlled airplanes and helicopters are my hobby. With both airplanes and helicopters the biggest part is building and setting them up.
It was also my hobby when drinking. I used to drink and work on airplanes. A lot of the time to find the next morning I really screwed up what I was working on,or set something somewhere I couldn't find it again. I drank at least a 12 pack a day,so I figure I can put 10 bucks a day towards my hobby.
Tomorrow will be 2 years sober for me. Sure doesn't seem that long.
Fred

I used to play video games online, like call of duty series. I also drank about a 12 pack to get off. And once I got towards the end of my beers my score was always horrible.

Don't play FPS while drinking. FPS = first person shooter..meaning it looks like you are holding the gun running around.

I have only lost 5 pounds in the last few months since I quit drinking. However, it looks like I lost much more because I'm not so bloated I guess? I was looking like a stereotype alcoholic with the big stomach and skinny arms and legs, bruises everywhere ect..... I'm also sleeping indoors now and on a bed. So that's gotta help too.
