13 Days :] but domestic trouble is irritating.
Hi all, how are you all doing in your quests for sobriety?
I've been dealing with utter crud back and forth, I won't lie I've abused pain medication but my mother has to keep reminding me as if I'm a 10 year old... I'm trying to take steps ONE AT A TIME and she said to me tonight "You are a lot weaker than I was."
NICE thing to say to your recovering son, jeez... and in the meantime, the hypocrite is drinking lol. Oh well. I'm used to it, I got problems I got issues, but I'm sober from alcohol and it's a step by step thing. Cripes, sometimes people just never SHUT UP when you need quiet...

No, it was a crummy thing for her to say.
BUT it's only your reaction to it that is bothering you. Try thinking of her as a sick and suffering person, rather than labeling her a "hypocrite". The label doesn't help you or her.
