Day 1 and its hitting me rough...
Hi guys,
Its my first day/first time to post. I recently had a friend die at 28 years old from drinking. My father is a recovering addict of 36 years. I was always able to keep my drinking under control and in the last two years it has gotten pretty bad. Its made me want to make a change. Right now im really uncomfortable and just feel miserable. Any encouraging words to help me through day 1?
Thanx a ton,
Mike

Are you not able to go to detox at least for the first few days? Your body could be going through a lot of changes. I had the shakes, twiches, muscle spasms, no sleep. It's good to keep in touch with a doctor on a daily basis especially in the first days.
