Acamprosate- any opinions or experience?
I have met a few people on my day-time rehab who are on the medication Acamprosate (aka Campral). The response seems to be quite good for relapse prevention.
I just wondered if anyone has any experience of this drug. I'm surprised my doctor hasn't recommended it - unless it is very expensive.

My shrink put me on it a couple years ago. They were free samples so I don't know the cost. It helped me a lot, tho I did relapse several times. It seemed to help with cravings tho.
