Just looking back at all my drinking for like the 5 and a half years I did it, as I am turning 25 in 50 minutes *my birthday*. My mother claims I should now consider it a milestone but it's pressure I do NOT need right now ... sorry just needed to vent.

Paulos, I hope you have a good birthday. I'm not really sure if I drank or not on my 25th birthday, but I did on most of them after that. I don't know if you are staying away from drinking currently, but if you are, you can look at it as a special day not drinking. I'm going to have a non-drinking birthday soon, and I'll be 42 this time. If you see it as pressure, try to turn it around into a day you can appreciate instead.

Sure, it can be viewed as a milestone.....but in the grand scheme of things, regardless of the day, if its in your heart to stop drinking, then its time. As we all know, it has to be YOUR decision, birthday or not.
I hope you have an absolutely wonderful 25th birthday. I remember mine, and wow was I different than I am today.
