Watched the whole thing. I wish they'd focused on the solution--even just a little bit. I SWEAR I've been each of those subjects at least part of my drinking career. ~shudder~

This movie is available in its entirety on You Tube. I just watched it and would like to point out that the movie is more about mental illness than it is about addiction.

The movie does start with the Gena Rowlands character getting drunk and doing crazy things because of that, but you never see her drinking again. The husband does do some stupid things involving alcohol, but the root of his problems is not alcohol.

I got the feeling the primary conflict was about the the Gena Rowlands character's mental illness and how her family (especially her none too bright husband) dealt with it.
