Pink cloud?
Pink cloud?
OK, so right now I simply can't get enough AA... meetings, contacts, time with my sponsor... Is this normal? I've spent about a year dry with some relapses, but 7 (or so) weeks of serious sobriety following the steps with an awesome sponsor.
If I go two days without a meeting or talking with her, I feel so distant from my program. I'm not afraid I'm going to drink- it's just like I found something precious in AA and what it REALLY is and I don't want it to go far.
So am I on the proverbial "pink cloud" I've heard tell of?

I call that feeling....joy in AA recovery.
So...how do I keep the joy flowing?
I pray often....it keeps me in emotional balance.....
I attend 3 or 4 weekly meetings.
I contact at least 1 AA friend daily.
SR is a vital part for me...it allows endless
opportunities for helping others..Step 12.
Glad to know you are doing so well....
I stole this from a circuit speaker but it's appropriate....
That "pink cloud" that so many folks refer to isn't a "pink cloud"........that's the feeling of the grace of God that's always been inside you. Your goal should be to feel like that all the time. If you want to fall off of it into the pit of crabbiness (like the inconsiderate boobs who like to tell you that you're not long for that feeling) go ahead. Me.....I like feeling good, enjoying life, feeling connected, and so forth.
You can have that feeling a loooooot.......so long as you're willing to remove the defects that pop up from time to time that remove you from the feeling of being close to God.

"... we will see how our experience can benefit others. That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear. We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows. Self-seeking will slip away. Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change"
