I use to listen to the Doors a lot when I was drinking, but besides the Doors I always use to play this one A LOT when I was getting drunk YouTube - Velvet Revolver - Fall To Pieces

Guess you could say it was on the "Soundtrack" to my drinking lol. I still can't listen to that song even now without thinking about drinking.

Honestly I don't think I ever sat and listened to music feeling like a hopeless addict. Course maybe I did, I can't remember, such a haze. That's a really sad song! I'd much rather spend time finding a new 'groove'..

When drunk off the hard stuff, I used to sit and listen to stuff like Jenny Lewis.

Its crazy when you know you want to be something better, you want to change your life, you just want to be happy, but you settle for the short lived euphoria of the bottle.

Drinking is the easiest most pain free path to (temporary) happiness. If I really want to be happy, Im going to have to endure some real pain. Day 10, here I come.

All sorts of, what i thought were, meaningful and sad songs...if i heard someone playing it in the car now i'd ask why the hell are you listening to that?! I have tried listening to them now and they just don't mean anything at all anymore...which i guess is a good thing.

Oh and i remember i would actually discuss the songs, like the meaning of them with other people who clearly could not understand what the hell i was talking about hehe i was as mad as a march hare!

Too embarassing to post the songs but yeah i know what you mean...
