being sober...

has really made me open my eyes and see how FILTHY MY HOUSE IS!!

I've got dust bunnies the size of Elk...something in the microwave with hair or fur on it (not going close enough to check, just throwing it out)....laundry pile is soo high, I never even knew I had soo many clothes...and the mail, pfft, forgettaboutit...stuffs dated 2008 in that pile of unopened crap.

Boy, sobriety is going to get my house clean that's for sure.

I'm askeered to look in the trunk of my car.

OMG!!! This is too damn funny!! You are ME! We started adding onto our house 5 years ago and it's STILL NOT DONE! Mainly due to my inability to finish things and make decisions BECAUSE OF MY DRINKING. Well, last night, I painted the entry way. Today, I am hanging curtains. You are right, the house is a rediculous disaster!!! lol!! Let me know if you get anything cleaned up today now that your eyes can see!! ;-))))

Getting sober but me on track for a good house cleaning too. I had to clean up those emotional dust bunnies and that psychological furry food that messed-up my serenity.

Me three! Being sober has improved my vision, both inner and outer. Also nice to not be too bombed or sick to clean!

Oh that is funny ! I can'yt believe how "house blind " I'd become the last 4 years, ....unmoved tools, cans of paint, misc boxesfull of WTF ever, etc became like furniture !! I literally convinced myself the blue painters tape lining ALL the exterior windows for the last two years added a sort of decorative touch. LOL IT'S STILL THERE .

This voice inside my heads keeps whispering , "progress, not perfection " when I start to get a little ansy. That ansy feeling was one of my old triggers , feeling overwhelmed and all, that was one of my favorite old million "reasons " to get trashed.

Sober , my place is progressing , at least in the organizing way , with some serious cleaning thrown in too. It's funny, ........ the sense of accomplishment I feel the next day

I've done more today than in the last few years!

...but the broom and mop are still MIA.
