How bad were your hallucinations when you withdrawaled?

I am getting some really serious hallucinations that are really starting to freak me out. For example I saw what I thought a person in a car I was walking by and I looked again and there was nothing. I am hearing auditory hallucinations as well.

Slayer -

It's crazy to tell someone who's hallucinating
to read the stickies at the top of the forum
but I hope
you'll try to do that.

Unsupervised detox from alcohol is dangerous.
It can be lethal.

CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
Or go to the emergency room

Do not try to do this alone.
You're not a doctor
I'm not a doctor...
nobody ON this site is a doctor.

Get a cab
get a ride
but
get to hospital.

That's my advice.

Do you have someone who can take you to the ER? If so, please go sooner rather than later. If not, please either call someone to come get you or call for an ambulance if that's the only way.

You are having hallucinations now, next could be seizures or worse. We don't know and neither do you but please don't risk it. If you care enough to get this demon off your back then please care enough to stay alive and well through the process.

Hugs,
Kellye

Hey man you are playing with your life, here are the odds. It could be DTs or less severe hallucinations:

Alcoholic hallucinosis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

These are the numbers:

Delirium tremens (DT) should be distinguished from alcoholic hallucinosis, the latter occurring in approximately 20% of hospitalized alcoholics and not carrying a significant mortality. In contrast, DT occurs in 5-10% of alcohol-dependent people and carries up to 5% mortality with treatment and up to 35% mortality without treatment.[2] DT is characterized by the presence of altered sensorium; that is, a complete hallucination without any recognition of the real world. DT has extreme autonomic hyperactivity (high pulse, blood pressure, and rate of breathing), and 35-60% of patients have a fever. Some individuals experience seizures.

I went into full on alcoholic hallucinosis once. Happened about three days after my last drink. Scary as hell. I wrote down all the hallucinations so I would remember. I can barely read that journal now.

Hospital is a wise move. At least there you'll be safe. If you are visually hallucinating don't even think of driving yourself.

the worst thing about hallucinations is you dont know they are hallucinations.
they seem as real as night and day.

crocs trying to get on my hospital bed........doctors with fangs.......people whispering in my ear......those are a few i remember...

thankfully with the right meds........they dissapear most of the time..
