Tonight I went to my meeting like any other day. There is a girl a year older than me who came in a month after I did. She went out the Thursday before last and checked herself in to hospital this Friday. I had seen her once since then. Tonight she walked into the meeting doped up on some powerful medication. Both her wrist wrapped in bandages (up from one on Saturday). She told everyone that she was done trying to recover. She had had enough and since she was still 22 she deserved to go out and have fun. I'm not really sure why I am writing this here, but I feel like I need to share it. I saw my own insanity through her share, I know just what it feels like to decide you can't recover, its the worst feeling in the world. Thank God I have the daily reprieve today. Today I'm not lying to myself. Today I choose Life

Congrats on making it five months! I have six months and my life is extremely good compared to what it was. I hope I keep it up. I would HATE to start back up again. As long as I work my AA program like my life depends on it I should be fine!
