maybe it's because i've only been drinking for a few years. I'm 48 and started when i was around 42. It was alot of fun at the beginning - bars, friends, but now i dont' go out. Just drink at home. Never drank before that. Cant' believe i'm having problems with this.
I drank for 15 years Bailey - the last 5 were all day everyday.
I turned things around - you can too.
Start the new day by making it your day one - look at some real world support...keep posting

No one is forcing a drink down you.
You do that yourself.
You pick it up.
And it will have to be yourself that stops.
However hard that will be.
Just do it and things will look a lot different in a week !
Good luck and wisedom !!
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Sure....you too can begin your new life
I was 52 when I quit drinking and regardless
of the usual ups and downs we all have
it's been the most rewarding thing I ever did.
This can be true for you as well

I started drinking heavily around 38 and didn't get wise until I was 50, during those 12 years I tried to stop several times and did for a few days and once for 6 weeks after an accident but I kept going back to drinking. I couldn't stop on my own, for me it took being told i had to make a choice between life and death, obviously I chose life-don't wait that long take the help that is offered you.
I'm only 27 and didn't start heavily drinking til I was about 23 and I was a raging drunk......... Been sober now for 17 days and trust me............... it's worth the fight.
