Sticking Out My Hand and Introducing Myself
Hi, my name is AuntieAuntie and I am an Alcoholic.
I stumbled in here awhile ago and have been reading here ever since.
I have found it so helpful to take a break from a difficult day at work and get some recovery.
I thought I would finally stop taking and try to give back some.
It seems like such a great community!

Hi AA, and welcome to our family in recovery!
I discovered this site a few years ago when I was looking for a little shot of recovery during my normal work day, it's a valuable addition to my 12-Step program in AA.
Hey, I drank my way through Boston back in the early 90's! Gotta love the fried clams out there. Yummy.

Sober Recovery Works
Hi Auntie Auntie & Astro,
I have been around Sober Recovery a while but have memory blanks once in a while to what my password is so had to change it. It really is frustrating.
Welcome AuntieAuntie,
You have come to a very good place to share experience, strength, & hope with others.
I am familiar with your city in Arizona Astro...my second husband's sister & family lived there. But they were originally from New York.
I am having a to some of these Smiles & if I put up the bigger list it blocks what I am first writing.
I have been on this computer too much today. My husband is sleeping in his recliner and has been all morning....we both are retired so don't have much of a schedule to keep.
Will be looking forward to posts from you....

Thanks for the Welcome.
I am also an active member of AA. I really have enjoyed reading peoples experiences with the Steps and how the Steps really change you from the inside. I have been an active member of a women's AWOL for the past 2 years. I am so grateful to those that told me that the Steps are nothing to be afraid of and when people say "You have to change the person that you brought in" it really meant "continuously work the Steps and you will change the person you brought in."
I pray that I continue to stay willing to grow and change with the help of AA and the steps.
Astro, I drank through Bostom in the early nineties too!
