Hello everyone,

I'm a Codie from the Friends and Family board.

I dunno what to do anymore. there is this girl that I love who is a disaster, I realized I'm helpless to help her but everytime I feel horrible I just wish I had a bottle of wine to stop the pain....

A broken heart is a powerful thing and not wanting to feel it seems pretty natural to me. The wine will help to numb your feelings for a while but eventually it becomes it's own problem and your original problem of being unable to cope with strong emotions without numbing them will still be with you. It's a lose lose proposition.

Easier said then done I know. Continue to listen to the support and advice you are getting in the Friends and Family board and spare yourself from ending up over here. Drinking to not feel is a classic sign.

A bottle of wine is NOT the solution.
You can only do so much..
See it a a lesson learned, however hard that is.

Your signature line says it all... only You (capitalized, I assume God) can fix her. God will fix her when she wants to be fixed. Perhaps prayer, not drinking alcohol, would be the most healthy thing you can do.

Or, from what I've read on your posts, perhaps, just move on.
