one and the same
hi.....cravings vs.mental obsession? i think the two words are interchangable....cravings are a physical thing, your body wants it bad.....mental obsession is when your mind tells your body that you need it...
thank god i don't have either one.....today/right now.

apology accepted.
hi jared and thanks for your input....I was warned by my doc not to drink when i took the Klonopine, and i didn't......I just wanted to feel better, and get a good nights sleep....
I was just amazed at how the klonopine seemed to curb my cravings for alcohol, that's all.I haven't taken any,"K" in four days,i haven't needed it,but i do have it if i do....
been sober for almost four weeks now.
And,some of us DO heed doc's warnings, and read the warning labels on our prescription bottles...I have no intentions on going from abusing alcohol to abusing drugs.....I just want to feel better and BE better.

Why don't you try long walks and yoga? Our bodies have all the medicine we need, we just have to trigger it. Klonopin is a benzo and the detox from it after prolonged use can last 2-5 years...sub-acute. Meaning feeling detox-ish for years.
I should know, I'm eight months into my benzo detox and it is still with me.
I changed my sobriety date because of benzos when I realized how not sober I was after coming off. And yes, I took them as prescribed. One at night, for sleep. For five years.
Take benzos at your own peril.
