Good Morning!!! I'm new here :)
Good Morning!!! I'm new here :)
As I'm trying to figure out where most of the action is on here, I thought I'd say "hey" and maybe some of you can link me up!!
I "graduated" from my treatment center last week, WOO HOO!!!!! I was there for 10 very long months and it was the BEST thing I ever did for myself.
I'm 38, have two wonderful boys, am divorced (which I believe for me is best) and happy to have my life back.
It's great that I have found some online places. Some one from another site guided me over here, so I followed.
Anyway, I'm in south Florida right now and we have that Tropical Storm kicking, Fay, so I'm at home watching the news, having my coffee and hoping to connect with some of you today.
Thanks for letting me share.

love your name!!!!!!! its really cute and upbeat!
I'm 49, unmarried with an adult son....sober a year now.
Nothing like coming out of treatment to a hurricane!
Just bop around the place and check out the threads and feel free to post and post and post!
Lots of great folks here. I'm sure you will meet many that you feel a connection to. SR has really added to my sobriety.

Looking back with my 20-20 hindsight I see that a lot of my issues started long ago way before I ever picked up a drink. I'm grateful that I'm not there any more and that I now have the one person to depend on in my life that I always wanted, ME!!!!!!
I have a great sponsor and I have met a good handful of sober girlfriends, some of my old friends are working on their sobriety inspired by my experience. Things have turned out well and I'm looking forward to every day whether it's good or bad knowing that I have what I need to stay sober.
That still doesn't say it all but my guess is that if I spend enough time here I'll get to know others well as they will, me.
