Darn It Guys!!! I Did The Unthinkable!!!
I accomplished a second year of sobriety.
What? You didn't think I relapsed did you? lol
Thanks for all the help, prayers, and support. You here in SR are a big part of my recovery, and sober family. Words can not explain my gratitude, so instead I will use the energy to help others who want help.
Thanks again.

Your title did worry me, but I'm soooo glad it is not what I thought.
Two years is great news.
Just this morning I woke up thinking how I do not miss being sick in the morning. It is just wonderful to wake up sober.

For what it's worth, when I saw this, I didn't think you'd relapsed...I thought you'd bought something else from IKEA and didn't swear about it

CONGRATULATIONS TOM!!
I would truly love to be there when you get your "real" token. I imagine your "How'd ya do it," would be a memorable and heartfelt one.
You're a shining example of what working a solid AA Program can do for someone.
Thanks for always sharing your experience, strength and hope. You always have a strong message.
God Bless,
Judy
You had me worried for a minute there! Congratulations on 2 years, that is a tremendous feat! 6
You started your sobriety journey less than 2 weeks before me. (I'm coming up on 2 years on June 12th).
Thanks for sharing here. You've been an inspiration.

Good deal Tom, I'd give you a pat on the back but I suspect we both know where the real credit goes. You are a fine example of recovery in action, don't keep coming back......STAY. The realm of the spirit is broad roomy and all inclusive. Best wishes to you in your journey.
How it's done, based on my favorite AA term of Keep it simple...
Note: Most of these apply regardless of what recovery program your in.
1) You have to be willing and ready.
2) You have to be open minded.
3) You have to be willing to change if you to want anything else to change.
4) All your problems in life are not everyone else's fault. Accept that and get used to it.
5) Listen, listen, listen and when you think you heard enough, listen some more.
6) Follow directions. If you don't understand something, ask someone. There are no stupid questions, just stupid thoughts of ego.
7) Your problems aren't that unique, if you disagree talk to someone about your problems, and see how "unique" your problems are.
8) Get out of yourself. How good have things works out doing it your way when drinking/using? Think of others, and watch how your problems begin to disappear.
9) For us AA'ers and those who believe in a Higher Power, talk to that Higher Power. Give all the negative emotions to him/her/????.
10) Rule 62!!! Don't take everything so darn seriously. Remember...
Every day that passes has the potential of being the first day of a great life. All you have to do is do.
