Interesting alcohol stats and info.
Interesting alcohol stats and info.
This week I am in job related training. I taking ADAP (Alcohol Detection And Prosecution). Some interesting stats and info.
The average DUI violator commits that violation 80 times a year.
In typical enforcement jurisdictions one DUI violation in 400 results in arrest.
In Fort Lauderdale study, police officers arrested 22% of the drivers they contacted whose BAC's were .10 to .20.
80% of the alcohol a person consumes is absorbed into the blood via the small intestine.
Once a person reaches his or her peak BAC, it will drop at a rate of about 0.015 an hour.
Metabolism accounts for approximately 95% of alcohol elimination. (drinking coffee, water, and cold showers has no real effect.)
Just some info I thought some of you may find interesting.

Thanks Tom,
I would have loved to have been a police officer. I reciently thought about corrections. The Sheriff out this way believes in hiring sober EX cons as correctional officers. Once I was sworn in I would go after a corrections counsler position. Still might, thanks for the DUI information. Very interesting stuff!!!!!!
