You have already seen that you can be happy when alcohol is out of your life. The choice is yours then I guess. Choose the good life!

It is day two and I will make it through.

My parents are on vacation in Hawaii so I am alone, and hoping to be sober when they return, no, I will be sober when they return. I poured their wine down the sink this morning so I would not be tempted- but they will be pissed! I also threw out all the razor blades I could find in the house. I don't have enough pills to OD and there are no bridges where I live so at least I am safe from myself. Now if only I could figure out a way to disable my car so I can't drive to town to buy booze. I'm thinking of letting the air out of the tires until my Dad gets back and can inflate them. I feel very strange this morning, a weird sensation, a little panicky. But I'm alright and hanging in there. *hugs to all*

Glad to see you hangin' in there Felly! I know it's rough for you right now, but it gets better. Just keep posting! It will help to distract you, and I'm sure you'll get all of the support and advice you need.

Day three and it's up to me.
Doing a little better this morning after I managed to eat something. My stomach is in knots. I will try to take a shower and brush my teeth since I have been neglecting these things. I've been trying to remember the exact date when I lost the ability to take care of myself, it was sometime within the last year, I think I know when it was but am not sure
. ANyway, I'm glad I found SR again even if I had to come back whimpering with my tail between my legs. Oh that reminds me I need to feed the cats! Poor things.

When I got sober, I had no idea how to take care of myself. I actually had to make a schedule like
morning
1)brush my teeth
2)eat
3)drink a glass of water
4)take a vitamin
I had to schedule drinking water! Because if I didn't I'd forget to do it and get myself all dehydrated. Those were the days.
And I'm glad your back too.
