29 days today

I feel pretty good, although I'm eating a lot more than before I quit drinking. I've got a weight problem and I was hoping that cutting out 800-1400 alcohol calories a day would lead to weight loss, but that has not happened.

Anyway...I'm feeling more confident, happy, my outlook on life is improving, I'm exercising more, I'm spending more time with my family (not drunk). I'd say things have improved a lot in the last month.

29 days is excellent justin70 . Have you talked to your doctor about your weight? I wouldn't worry about it. You're not drinking empty calories anymore. If you keep exercising and stay sober it'll all even out.

That is wonderful to hear about your 28 days.

I gain some weight to, but I have lost it. Sounds like you are doing great.

WOOO HOOO! HORRAY FOR YOU! 29 days is awesome . Tomorrow you can pick up your 30 day chip. It is amazing what can be done by just hanging in there one day at a time. Keep up the great work.

Good for you!

Ask your doctor about following an eating plan for hypoglycemia.
Many newly sober alcoholics use it in early sobriety.

Justin, just wanted to let you know I am sorry for assuming you were in A.A. and speaking of a 30 day chip. I think it is great no matter how you have gotten your 29days. I realize there are many methods of finding sobriety and do not want you to feel unwelcome here if you do not use the program of A.A. There are many people here who use a variety of recovery methods that post on this board. I was so excited to see your 29 days I just got carried away.

29 days is awesome. It takes a lot of persistence to get there. Keep up the great work.

Judith

Great job Justin, whatever you do,

don't forget how good you feel at this

very moment, even if the temptations come back.

adversity kicks at your heels, say to yourself, I feel

better without...thank you, hope and love, hope3

Well done mate. Stay focused, stride forward. It's a far, far, far, far better life sober (in my experience, of course!).
