My speaker meeting
where I spoke went really really well! 
A was there, and my sponsor, Eddie, and a bunch of girls that I've made friends with from other meetings...
I can't remember what the heck I said, but I cried when speaking of my mother, and when I lost A. I made folks laugh too. A lot of sharing afterwards..all in all I'd say it went quite well and I feel like I'm on cloud 9!!!

Wow that's so awesome Karen! I'm so happy for you! I love it when people cry in meetings - it's so from the heart and so real and it's such a privilege to be able to share in that level of honesty - remember when we didn't even used to feel anything!>!?!?!? And just blot it out with Alcohol!?
Well done, you did good - isn't it also so cool the new friends we make in AA!

Karen if all you recall is emotions then you spoke from the heart!!!! Good job hon, I wish I could have been there.
I have heard old timers say it is important for all of us to tell our stories every once in awhile, it keeps the way it was green for us which helps us stay sober.

you get so thrilled
there is so much you want to share
and
then the big moment
you are "up there"
it goes really well
so many come up to so thanks
if the second half of the meeting is sharing
everyone shares good things about you
then you close the meeting
and
sometimes, not all the times
"like what happened
but
the important thing is
you kept the meeting going
and
as you walk out the door
everyone is sober another hour
congrats
best
