no, its 14 days sober and sobriety DATE is may 17th. Oops :-)

It is funny that you used "Marvin the Martian" as your avatar. In my AA groups we consider "non drinkers" or "non alcoholics" to be "Earth People"

Male, female...what the heck. We're all drunks here.
I found out that I had to make a decision. I decided that I wasn't going to drink...even if my ass fell off. I decided that no matter what it took, I wasn't going to drink.
I've heard so many times that slipping is just part of recovery. Now I ask you...where is that written?? It's not ok to have a slip. It's understandable and I have compassion for people who slip but a slip is caused, IMO, by wanting to drink more than wanting to do whatever it takes not to drink. So, even though I have compassion for someone who slips, I don't have any sympathy for someone who slips. I believe slips, relapses, whatever, are premeditated drunks. I believe I can set myself up for a relapse long before it happens.
I know I have another drink in me somewhere! I just don't know if I have what it takes to come back and get sober again. Therefore, I don't take any chances. Pretty simple really!! If I drink again I may never come back.

I didn't remember that expression.... just asked my s/o and she said the expression was indeed "I love you man". I don't remember that one! Guess I was too busy watching the Sci-fi channel
I am feeling better for being honest! More and more is crowding out to be told, and I'm already telling the stuff that really bugs me. I guess I'm getting an early start on my 5th.
