21 Days
I'm so proud of me, 21 days. Can't wait to get to 30 so I can pick up my first chip :0)
If anyone saw any pigs flying around my area today it's because I joined a gym and did my first workout in 20 years, lol.
Onwards and upwards. With AA's help I'm getting there, isn't this journey exciting, and challenging of course at the same time :0)

lol, I could have just said thanks to everyone rather than doing the thank you linky thing.
Seriously though, without you guys I doubt I would have had the resolve to get through the first week. It really helped knowing there are others here stopping drinking at the same time and that we all share commonalities. Sober buddies unite, lol.
Heh, I wish Floyd were playing, they are the one band I wish I'd seen :0)

wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i went to a meeting tonight
there was a new guy with 25 days
so i congratulated himand welcomed him
i told him
what i'll share with you
"when i had 90 days
it was so neat
realizing that it was so long since i had that much time sober
as there was always, a beer, a this, athat
going 'round everyday"
now, let's get busy
i don't know how far it is from you
but
if possible
go to a meeting
or call some sober Aa friends
get a group
3, possibly 4
pack a lunch
along with the preamble, big book, 24 hour a day book, step book
and a basket to pass around during the secretary's break
head toward the "outback"
have a meeting
and
you may well wind up in the book of world records
for having a meeting in the outback
unless, of course, the aborigines have one there already
you go, congrats
best

Thanks again :0) I felt like drinking last night, resisted the urge, my flatmate who is also alcoholic went to the pub, thankfully he didn't invite me. I questioned whether he was being wise but what can I do? Tie him to a chair and leave him there? lol
Anyway, I woke up this morning on day 22 with no hangover and thanks that I didn't drink. I went to bed really early instead, that worked, lol.
Wrong country, lol. I'd have to get on a plane to do that. We do have wilderness country here though, that'd be neat :0)
