Crest White Strips

I've done a whole week of the twice a day 2 week program. Believe it or not, I'm claiming this as one of sobriety's accomplishments. I didn't even bother buying the stuff before cuz I knew I just didn't have the fortitude to bother with the damn things..and twice a day at that! Besides, 30 minutes at night was 30 minutes I couldn't drink red wine..and before bed.. pffft.. I was passing out everynight..who the heck could bother with any sort of nightly ritual. Kinda pathetic that something so simple is such an accomplishment to me.

P.S. and YES, my teeth are indeed getting whiter.

They sound good, they haven't made it to our shores yet, that's not surprising, NZ is normally a year or so behind europe and the States :0) Congrats on the step to health, I've started using whitening tooth paste recently, sure seems to do something good :0)

It amazes me as well, some of the simple things I am doing now that I am sober seem to bring pleasure to me. Things like flossing, making the bed...... normal every day things for normal folks.

I could't shave. I was afraid to get the razor anywhere near my face because of the shakes.

But yeah, things start falling in line little by little. Just a small, constant effort and things get better.

ahhhh the simple things, I remember planting my first flower garden, waking up in the a.m. and not being angry that the birds were chirping outside my window (used to intensify my headache!!) climbing a tree, following through with a promise, calling folks when I WASN'T drunk, paying off bills on time, not calling in to work on Monday morning etc. etc. so many things...

I'm still doing all those things so many years later, got to remember, this was a good post for me. thanks
