Update about me and rehab

For those who were asking the other week. I had a talk with them and they are letting me stay longer to make up for the days I missed, so I am pleased about that.

Still no word on the results of my heart scan but I will update y'all when I here from them. I miss my old 'mice...' thread I might have to start another lol!

Sound stone, your back to rehab, i no its seems like cr4p at times but if you get one thing out of it that helps you to quit then it will have been worth it mate.

Good deal Stone, I heard a rumor about this group that will let anyone who wants to stop drinking come any time they want to drunk or not! LOL

BTW did they say when they would have the results or are they just trying to worry you? Usually though if it is bad news, they call you right away.

Thanks guys, you're right Chris on both points.
Hi k, thinking of you too!
Lol Taz!
The scans are every 6 months and it takes a week or two for the results I think.

I miss the mice thread too. This one has a catchy title though Update about Me and rehab... pretty much sums the topic up !

Don't your doctors know that we are waiting for those results as well? No news is good news as the saying goes. I'm sure it will be.

About rehab : how many days did you miss? It didn't seem like many. And how much longer is the program then?

Stay in rehab as long as you can....

And get the very most you can out of it.

You are lucky.

Many who need can never get there.

Love,

:

Sherry

I haven't missed all that many gypsy but as there are only 2 sessions a week it will take a while to make those days up, anyway I am just glad they were cool about it. I hope its good news on the heart scan too otherwise it is heart surgery...

Sherry, they have an evening support group that you can attend indefinitely, that is another reason why I want to complete the rehab even though it is pretty boring sometimes, I need to complete the rehab to be eligible.

That support group aftercare is something to take advantage of. I wish my IOP offered something like that. I had to pay some hefty $$$ to go and can't even go back for a tune up if necessary. Stay the program... the thing you need to hear to click for you might just be a simple, simple thing but you won't know of you don't go .

Re: the heart surgery? If that isn't extra incentive to stay quit, I don't know what is.

Stone,

Sounds like you are making great strides. You have a positive attitude.

I would call my Dr. and ask about the heart scan. If you have to have surgery it's not as scary as it used to be. I have worked with heart surgery patients and they recover very quickly these days. Incisions are smaller and most go home in just a few days feeling great. They don't let you lie around. You would start rehab right away.

So, I am thinking about you and I believe great things are coming your way.

You deserve the best.

Carol
