Home Group (discussion): every week

BB meeting: almost every week

10PM late night meeting (discussion): hit or miss (it meets nightly)

When I was new I probably averaged 4-5 meetings a week and it still fluctuates today (after 4 years). I voted 1-2 times a week but I would have voted 2-3 times a week if it were an option. Twice a week is the norm, but 3-4 times a week is not out of the ordinary (especially if I am working with a newcomer). I never miss my home group as I usually have some type of commitment to the group every week (set up, chair, etc), and it would take something really important to get me to miss my BB meeting.

BTW when I was new I loved the 10PM "last call" meeting. It is really laid back with the lights off and the room is lit with candles. It really helped when I couldn't get my mind to shut down at the end of the day. I still like to go occasionally when I'm having a hard time winding down at the end of the day.

Wish I had more to choose from. But just got back from one tonight thats close and I liked it so will be going back. Trying to find at least 5 a week that I like. Candle meetings are awesome!

None. I'd only ever go to one if I knew in advance there wouldn't be any spirituality involved, and that's pretty unlikely where I live.

I don't know yet as going to my first one in about 7 hours time but there is a meeting locally every day of the week so it will come down to finding work and working round those hours

I remember in the beginning...I was in my 90 in 90 (or 180 in 90 lol). I was sitting in a beginner's meeting and we were going around doing introductions (name, sobriety date, how many meetings in the last 7 days, did we have a sponsor)

This lady I admired was there and she shared that her sobriety date was in the 80's, she had a sponsor, and that she went to 3ish meetings a week. For some reason, I really glommed onto that statement.

I have a 3 meeting/week minimum...more if I need. If I miss one of my "regulars", I make it up the same or next day. I don't ever do less than 3. Period. Ever. Not an option. I have yet to come across an excuse to not make my weekly quota. I have followed my PLAN since the beginning and I'm not about to vary that in any way. My life to too amazing.

:-)

I always, well almost always go to my home group's meeting on Saturday morning and another on Tuesday night. There's a morning meeting that I'll go to sometimes when I'm working at home and the schedule is more flexible.

They told me to work my recovery like I worked my addictions. I was drinking or thinking 24/7, so that is how I work the program: One Day At A Time. Every. Single. Day.

Initially, I steeped myself in many, many meetings.

One to two meetings a week usually.
Three meetings a week when at my second Home Group.
9 years sober.
In early sobriety I hit 4 or 5 meetings early each week day morning.
The "Jump Start Meeting."
Each day I need a sober jumpstart.

For the first 1.5 years I went to 6 meetings weekly. I had no life other than drinking so I let AA be my life. As the fog started to clear and I got my sea legs I started to cut back. I asked my sponsor how many meetings I needed and he said, "Keep cutting back until you drink and then you will know."

Today 7+ years down the road I go to three which seems to work and if it ain't broke don't fix it

I generally hit one meeting per day and I am just over 20 months now. It is a habit now, and I am definitely a creature of habit. I always enjoyed the meetings from day one though. If I start feeling like things are getting repetitious I try to find new meetings. I am blessed enough to live in an area with a wide selection of meetings.

In my early days I went to as many meetings as I could,I live in an area where there are multiple meetings.

At almost 14 years sober I always go to two meetings a week and often more.

In the first few years, I went nearly everyday - and I think the first year I averaged over 500 meetings. These days I go about once a week, sometimes twice.
