First meeting 'on my own'
Today will be my 1st,to me, meeting where I don't put in the good ol court slip...Actually it was last month but, I hadn't been counting the days and realized this morning I have 4 extra weeks of signatures .. Looking forward to not getting a signature for some strange reason.
Just keep doing what has kept you sober. I have seen a lot of people go back to drinking once they weren't court ordered or they got there license back.
We have to stay sober for ourselves not for the law

How was the first meeting? I haven't been to any AA meetings yet, but it is something I am considering. I am afraid that I will embarrass myself. I tried to quit multiple times before, but was unsuccessful.

I've been to about 140 meetings in 90 days. Yesterday was my first meeting that I didn't have to go to(Court). The hardest part is walking through the door. I'd suggest an open discussion meeting, if you feel weird about it. You don't have to share(I suggest you do, though.) and can just listen to the other's. Speaker meetings are great too!

Going back tomorrow!
Keep up the great work! A letter to the judge is a wise idea.. we're taught to carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers. Now you have some time under your belt if you see someone hurting you can reach out and lend a hand.. very positive post! You're growing !! Nice job!!
