this too shall pass
this too shall pass
Heard this morning at a gratitude meeting... "It's true. Everything passes. This too shall pass. Just sometimes it passes really slowly and feels like passing a kidney stone."
Funny how that's stayed with me all day (a tough day) and has made me smile (a little ruefully I must admit) and had kept the worse of the melodramatising and self pity at bay.
I always hear what I need to hear, even if when I hear it I don't know I'm going to need it.
Darn kidney stone.

one of the best parts of AA sobriety are all those little bits and pieces of wisdom, from here and there, that come to mind just when we need them. Not just slogans, there's so much more of it out there.
Do you do slogans in the UK?
Oh yes. There are slogans on cards which are out and that find their way into people's general speech and vocabulary (and hopefully thinking ).
Thank you for that Berrybean resonates with me too, as usual profound inspiration from you. Sorry things are tough for you at the moment but I know that whatever it is you will deal with it and it will pass. Hugs. Elle
