Smile big resentment

I have a big resentment why to long to tell 68 days and I don't even have the slightest urge to drink if it was day under sixty I probally would have I think I've lost the mental obsession don't need it as a crutch more like temperally relief. I feel like I can deal with life's diffulcties now with out reaching for a bottle. Once I realized I had no thought of drinking it brought me joy and peace of mind serenity. At first I was walking a tight rope then I felt like I was on a side walk now I feel like I'm on the broad highway and it feels awesome. Thanks for being there for me SR!!!

Just keep on doing what is working for you

I am glad you feel comfortable with your sobriety.

I've been sober for almost a year, and that AV still sometimes tries to get me to drink

I've learned to just "look away". I understand that the urge might show up every now and then....but I'm prepared!

I'll be posting on SR for help if that situation arises.

I read this as "Prepaid"

I guess that also works.

I have prepaid, I don't have to go back and pay anymore more using days, months or years of my life. I earned this life of sobriety and I am keeping it!

You have made my day well done keep it up, that feeling is better than anything that can be bottled,

DSmaxis10,
All power to you. Thankyou for reminding me what a relief it is not to want to drink, I think I take it for granted most of the time.
You have given me pause to stop and be grateful that today I don't need or desire to drink.
