Happy Sober New Year!
Hi guys! I don't post much, I enjoy lurking, just wanted to say happy new year. I have just over 7 months sober now. 2013 was a gift of rebirth to me. Without AA and my Higher Power I would never be here. I can't express how much the program has given me. I am beyond grateful for it. I hope soon to wrap up my fourth step- so much buried!- and live each day to its fullest potential and do God's will.
Things aren't easy, my husband loathes me, but you know what? That's ok. I know, truly, in my heart of hearts, that I am the best person I can I be every day and it's not my fault that he can't find it to forgive me. My job is to live in a manner which shows him the power of God.
I've greatly enjoyed SR in my recovery and I love you guys.
2013 rocked- let's have a great new year!

Two hours from 2014 over here. Sydney is already there. I'll probably be in bed by 12 so I'll raise a non-alcoholic glass to a sober 2013 and by the grace of God another one in 2014.
Thanks for being there. For me SR is a Sangha.

Great to hear - God bless in 2014 Remember that we make amends by living rightly, not by saying "sorry" - which sounds like you're doing. Really happy that you've found God's grace - what a gift! Happy New Year!
