Hi all -

Had wanted to hit my normal Saturday morning meeting. I couldn't make it because of travel issues, I'm basically a traveling backpacker this weekend, checking out of a hotel today and then crashing with a friend (and his dog & cat) for the next couple nights.

Anyway, have any of you tried the online route? I can certainly google them online but wanted to see if any of you have a "favorite" site that you'd recommend. I believe in-person is best, but sometimes ya gotta go with the next best thing. Also, I have not been to one online before - are they at all helpful?

If you want a link to a video meeting (you can always just listen, the only people on video are those who share), private message me.

In person meetings are best!

aaonline has meetings. And a branch off of that meeting that has 4 meetings a day now is aa-alive.net.

The trouble is that all the online chatrooms I have found require Java which has security issues. My computer will not even allow me to install Java--it keeps telling me that the file is corrupt.

If anyone knows of a non-Java chatroom....please say so. I have found some that I thought were non-Java but they will not launch either!!

As for the quality of the meetings, that really varies from meeting to meeting. I've been to some really good ones. I've also been to some that are ridiculously awful.

The experience isn't remotely like a real meeting to me. But when I can't get to a live meeting, it's better than nothing.
