Lightbulb Seeking Answers

When I Think About The Future And Ask Myself Questions.. Most of the Time The Answer Keeps on Coming Back The Same.. "I Don't Know" Does Anyone Know About The 4 Absolutes and How They Fit in with A.A. and the Steps?

These principles are from the Oxford group, Absolute honesty love, purity and unselfishness. If I am striving to live by these ideals in my day to day life, I am aligning my will with what God would have me be.

i use the Absolutes as a sort of Guide.. they were Written in the Front of my Grandpa's 2end edition BB that he was Given by his Sponsor in May of 69' as a Akron Area A.A. Member.. Any Other Thoughts on the Absolutes Would Be Welcome..

hi 24,I have heard from a previous sponsor we can certainly use them as guideposts along our life's spiritual journey.Dr Bob said to gauge our thoughts and actions by them(not a quote) to seek God`s will for us.

"The principles we have set down are guides to progress. We claim spiritual progress rather than spiritual perfection." (page 60)

The Four Absolutes are "guides to progress"
