"We needed to ask ourselves but one short question. 'Do I now
believe, or am I even willing to believe, that there is a Power
greater than myself?' As soon as a man can say that he does believe,
or is willing to believe, we emphatically assure him that he is on
his way. It has been repeatedly proven among us that upon this
simple cornerstone a wonderfully effective spiritual structure can be
built."

So happy they added that 'am I even willing to believe' part in there. That's about all I was good for at the time. Had anything more been asked of me I might have balked. But willing to believe? Even a possibility? Yep. That was doable.
And the pragmatic approach. It has been repeatedly proven among us that a wonderfully effective spiritual structure can be built on such a simple conerstone.
We hear all these arguments about people not being spiritual or not wanting a 'god program' or anything else. If they only knew how little was required, and how vastly wonderful is the result.
Thanks Carol.
