Smile prayer matters..

though i am not a religulous man i am a firm believer in prayer. i begin and end each day asking and thanking my higher power for a day of sobriety. i never did this in my past A.A. attempts.. it works.. it really does!

I rely on prayer for so many things each day....

to remind me to be humble and grateful
to give credit to and to honor His name
to sooth me when hurt
to petition healing/protection for others
to ask for direction and balance

.....I find prayer vital.

great topic 24
I believe prayer is the lifeline for me,where the door is opened for God`s Power to come into my life daily. It is also a way for this alkie to commune with my HP.It strengthens my soul and gives me energy, directions and peace.
I never knew how to rightly pray before AA,and I have found the simple prayers in the Big Book to be a firm foundation for my prayer life.

I also didnt know how to pray before AA, I just began praying yesterday actually! I had a rough day the other day and getting down to my knees and praying actually did help, it was something i really cant explain but it really does work, it just does! It made me feel alot better about the day!
