Bottom
You have my prayers.
Almost 30 years ago my mother blacked out (diabetes brought on by alcoholism) while driving and hit a tree. She was on her way to pick up our dog from the vet.
I tried to forget her death immediately - "put it behind you" was my alcoholic father's demand. Ignore any such advice - grief is a process that takes time, it is normal and healing, and it will allow you to hold on to the best parts of your mother forever.
Take care.
