Joe, as the others have said - this is normal for the early days. We've all been through it. Doesn't make it any easier, but at least you know you have friends here who understand. You'll rise above this beginning time and begin to feel better. I'm glad you plan on going to a meeting tonight. Let us know how it goes. We care about you.

Hi everyone, thank you all for your support, attended a meeting last night and can honestly say i feel like a dark cloud is lifting from around me, I know it's only 48 hours or so since my last drink / use but I've never felt this positive about making a change, I'm going to start trying to live in the moment rather then worry about the past, I think for me this is a huge hurdle to get over
