There's a lot to say, but I don't have much more to say than that I've not had a drink in 30 days, and this forum has been so helpful. It's a tool that I've used. I came here again, 27 days or so ago, without a plan, mixed up, not believing in myself, you, or anything much larger than the crappy existence of drinking too much and too often. Now my eyes are clearer, my sleep is sounder, my goofiness is coming back, my face less swollen, my bank account bigger, my mind less distracted.

I have a long way to go and know that it can come out of nowhere so it's not like I think this is some dramatic victory, but one day at a time, with faith in something I can't explain or name, but can sense and trust, I think I can continue to build on this foundation. Drinking is not going to make anything better, with it's drama, anxiety, headaches, sweats, distractions, confusions, or nightmares. Every day that I log in here I've been reminded.

Thank you all, every one of you, even those with whom I have not interacted. This is a milestone for me.
