New day 1

It is a new day 1 for me. I have re-learned how horrible alcohol is. I regret it tremendously.

I have a tremendous hangover and will go to bed again in a moment.

Two positive things though: I've worked on the underlying issues and that seems to have been successful. Which is probably what lead to the second positive thing: there was some beer left. Usually that means I would start drinking again. Beer left equaled drinking. Hangover or not. But this time I really didn't want to. It's as if working on the underlying issues took away the desire. I looked at it differently and simply poured it out.

So, new day 1. Time to go to bed and sleep off this horrible hangover.

A day is pretty speedy to work through long held issues Jerry - but I'll trust your judgement

I'm glad you poured the remnants out.
welcome back

You're right, there's more work to do. But this was a good start. Since I'm going to be suffering from a hangover in bed in a moment, I may as well use that time to work through them more. And to build a more solid plan.

Ouch... For anyone who has forgotten how horrible hangovers are, trust me, you do not want that ever again...

84 days here since the last horrible hang over. Keep fighting sir. What happened and how long did you make it?

Happy to hear you poured the rest of the beer out Jerry. Time, sleep and water will help with the hangover/withdrawals.

Wishing you the best possible today/

Nice to hear from you JF, I believe stumbling is part of the learning process, its not a death sentence (although I realize for some, it may be). Good for you coming back.
