Did you get any baseline for your liver enzymes when you were still drinking? Comparing those two numbers if different (and I have a feeling they are) will show you that this is all helping. Dont think as you destroyed the vessel. Think of it as you are piecing back the vessel, its getting an overhaul, its getting new paint, a new engine...

We are all selfish in one way or another... dont beat yourself up. Remember you are piecing your life back together being sober. It takes time. And even healthy/sober people get sick. Thats just life and the way it is. But look at it this way, you might have drank before to cover up that pain and that pain would have gotten worse and worse until something serious happened. Hey you did good.

Hi Countrygirl2014 your right this is a lot like me, when i was getting the pain under the front right rib they thought gallbladder did ultrasound on gallbladder and liver and all was fine but now the pain is at the back.

Hopefully the pain subsides and everything repairs itself.

I only had it checked last week at the hospital. Shame on me I know. But still as of right now I have had no issues when last week at this time I thought something was going to explode. I sound like an ad but I swear by that apple cider vinegar stuff. My mother had liver issues due to hepatitis from a blood transfusion and hers have gone down dramatically since she started it. This is by no means medical advice. My doctor sent me home with basically nothing but a hefty bill so this is what I did. I would like to keep all my parts.
