Back from a detox and crisis stabilization place today and feeling fantastic!!! If ANYONE in within 4 or 5 hours of this place EVER need help I highly recommend it. Its called The Sunshine Lady House (tried to post link but have too low of a post count) and it really helped me out. Ive been to a other place twice before but they couldn't even come close to how much this place helped both with the detox and a kick start of getting back on track. Im still waiting on news to see if I can get a bed at a 28 day program but for the first time in almost 8 years I don't really want to drink.

Thanks for your support people. Im going to be on this site much more now.

Also I was sooooo out of it for those few days before getting to TSLH that I really dont even remember making those posts but I apparently bookmarked it and I saw the link im my bookmark list today.

Time for a milestone bump!

60 days clean and sober! I would have called you a liar if you said I could do it just three months ago. Man life is sooooo much better now. No more injuries that I wake up with, no more waking up with blood on me for god knows why, no more puking when I attempt to drink water, no more regrets of what I did or might have done while messed up.... I could go on and on. I'm happy again and I'm finally starting to get a grip on my insomnia. So many benefits to being sober and clean. I honestly don't see myself ever going back.

Also thought go to any 12 step meeting but I'm now hitting up AA and NA every week. I'm not doing any steps yet but just hearing stories and being around others like me helps A LOT! Sixty mudaF'in days!!!

Man how times change. I just logged back onto this site for the first time in a LONG time and started looking at my old posts.

I now have a little over 14 months clean and life is AMAZING!
  • Working towards my CPDT-KA certification (Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed)
  • Been leading a NA meeting for almost a year now
  • Have all of my family back into my life
  • Lost another dog and stayed clean through it
  • Got 3 new dogs and love them all to death
  • Have made more friends inside and outside the rooms then I have ever had
  • Have people putting trust in and relying on me
  • Dont have a single negative person in my life
  • Speek at NA meetings in Rehabs and Crisis Intervention facilities
  • Have found peace of mind and true happiness
  • Dont think about using at all anymore
  • lost 60lbs
  • Got my first gray hair
  • Am loving life and making everyone's around me a joyous and happy one

I can't wait to see what the future brings!!!!

Love you guys!

Thank you for your inspirational post!! I love that you are making a difference for so many others in addition to having 14 months sober.
