CG,

That is such a lovely way to honor your friend (hugs).

Things are moving along here. Long work hours and overwhelmed that I have trouble sleeping on Sundays and facing up to Monday...but I gritted my teeth and am doing the deal.

I'm working to arrange for a woman to come help me clean the house for 5 hours on May 3 and 5 hours on May 10 so that on the 17th (graduation day) it will hopefully not be too much of an embarrassment to me or my son...

It's finally warming up here, so today we will get in the upper 60s with some thunderstorms (which I love and the dogs hate LOL).

I hope you have a good trip CG.

We cant let this thread die again

Nands the loss of Connie will have left a huge whole in your life. Although no one will ever take her place I'm sure at the right time new souls will appear and you will develop new friendships.

CG I think thats a beautiful idea for Soos. Simple but very profound.

Dee hope life is treating you well.

All ok here. Work situation is rather draining but I'm content with things mostly. I have only 2 days sober but I suppose it's two days more than I had last week.

to you all

No, I totally partied like an 80's girl. All the way.
It's like, 40 years more futuristic.
No one would have been caught dead (or drunk) wearing neon pink in 1949.
Plus, my ciggs had filters on them.

Really struggled emotionally this evening. Day three is always a hard one. Tried to keep myself quiet and not over react to petty crap that I have blown completely out of proportion in my head.

Wow, haven't stopped by in a couple of days and look at all this activity! Welcome back to the thread, Pixy and PD!

Tomorrow I am leaving for San Francisco. Dee, the card I got to tie to your balloon is an Elmo one, I thought it was fitting . I am so excited to get out of town for awhile - there's a lot of chaos going on around me, but it's all good. I will let everyone know how the balloon release goes.

Have a safe trip CG and keep us posted.

Dee I have support from my partner. He doesn't really get it but try's and is encouraging. I also have a couple of people from sr that I keep regular contact with elsewhere. All of which helps. But as you know we can only really do this ourselves. I slept well last night despite a bad nightmare. I have already put in place plans for late afternoon and evening that will not allow me to drink. It's just my mood that really p*** me off. I remember from last time that they pass but can't remember how long they take and as we know each time is different.

Sure

But I also think the more support we have, the less likely we are to slip back, y'know?

Yeah your right Dee. Sometimes in the past when I've gotten sober i'd come here and feel i'd have nothing to say even though I was struggling, I couldn't quite put it into words so i'd isolate myself. I'm not sure why that is.
