Talking My Kick In The Pants Gratitude List :)

I need a serious kick in the pants so I'm going to record even the tiniest things I appreciate because what we focus on becomes more.

I am grateful for:

This site!
My lovely safe little house
My good natured little girl
Her kind patient father
Being able to work from home
Sober for 16 days
Overcoming a huge craving tonight
All my coping skills and tools
Washing the pots
Doing laundry
Cooking dinner
My bed lol

Kind and helpful moderators on this site
LUSH lie in this morning - Sundays my only true lie in and I love it so much lol
I woke up sober! Day 17 or 18 can't workout which one
Bacon & eggs for Brunch
Beautiful blue sky
All the washing is nearly dry! Abundance of clothes incoming. Relief.
Going to my mothers soon for our weekly Sunday Roast
Feeling ok, maybe even slightly better than ok since I started this list.

Sober 18 days
Childfree night last night
Lovely deep sleep
Mindfulness (been using it to get to sleep - it's made me wonder if this is how people who get to sleep quickly have always done it. Just not think about anything!)
Healthy nutritious food
Morning coffee
Blue skies and crisp air
All needs met (all bills paid, abundance of heating, water, elec, petrol, internet etc...)
Money in the bank
More incoming
My relaxed lifestyle (some would love this freedom)
A day full of possibilities and it's up to me to CHOOSE what I do with my day
This site of course, keeping me focused

Thank you Are we allowed to have our own thread to ramble in like this? I saw a couple of them like this but on the older pages. I can make a blog or journal instead if not. It keeps me off the streets.

Midday Appreciation:

-Cleaned the kitchen
-Been to the gym - feeling the endorphin's pumping!
-Showered and washed hair
-Beautiful golden sunrays cascading onto the lawn and patio

Yay! Ty Opivotal and wow didn't know I could inspire anyone at this moment in time! And so the rambling continues

*Been reading Cows journals (up to the 2nd installment now) and been laughing ridiculously loud. Laughter is medicine for the soul. Or is that chicken soup? Anyway hilarious and what a talented writer! I'm really rooting for her.

*Made BBQ Chicken Breasts with a huge salad for dinner.

*Went to the store and came back realising I hadn't so much as thought about buying alcohol, nevermind noticed it and there's a wall full of it behind the cashier!

*Actually arranged to go for coffee with my cousin tomorrow. One of my goals is to try and fill all areas of my life grid up with nice things. Make my world a bigger place. Since drinking made me anti-social and the world very small. So I can really be grateful for my improved mood and mindset.

*I am also grateful that she still wants to see me after all of this time

*In my cosy pjays and appreciating how many lovely things were appreciatable today! Maybe they always were but I was looking in the wrong place.

*Sober
*Decent sleep
*Did my hair, dressed in actual clothing I don't mind being seen in Put on some eyeliner!
*Stayed calm even when we were late for school (Icey this morning and unusual activity in my routine - making myself look half decent lol)
* Got little one to school
*Managed to go to my social engagement despite obstacles that would normally have me go home and dive under the duvet
*Awesome catch up with my cousin. Really inspiring. Felt like I actually uplifted her with all my musings about life and the skills I've been learning. Also, made arrangements to meet up next week. Could get used to this.
*Sold and packaged several things on Ebay. So that's another area of my life grid I am attending to. (Hobbies/money)
*Doing great diet wise. Took all vits. Lots of water.
*Washed the pots whilst I was making Brunch.
*Got my gym gear by the door and I'm 100% positive that I will go!
*This list is really helping me focus!

I am grateful for:

Waking up sober

It's snowing! So pretty.

My new supplements that have arrived.

The beautiful rolling countryside where I live.

My mother. Such a wonderful generous source of support. She calls us every morning to make sure that we are up and always has something to tell us that she's arranged or brought for us.

I've lost 2lbs this week already. The exercise is really doing it's thing.

The breakfast I'm about to eat.

My little car that get's us from A to B everyday.

This site and it's helpful encouraging community. x

A little bedtime appreciation.

Taking myself food shopping even though it was cold and snowy.
The abundance of food in the kitchen now.
Going to the gym and feeling like I am making progress.
Talking about the possibility of being a family again with the little ones father.
Mince lamb pittas with salad for dinner. Yummy.
The central heating making the house all toasty.
A lovely hot bath with candlelight

Mid Morning Appreciation:

  • 3 weeks soberdom!
  • 8 hours sleep last night.
  • Got out of bed 10 minutes earlier than usual. This is called improvement in my books
  • Managed to do a little of my freelance work yesterday - unprompted!
  • Went somewhere after the school run again.
  • Arranged all my vits & supps for the next week. I take so many *blush* that I've been getting confused as to which ones I'd taken and which ones I hadn't of a morning. Probably double dosing at times. So I've a little weekly container now. I'm so organised (and turning into my granny )
  • Had an amazing breakfast
  • 150% likelihood of going to the gym this afternoon - it IS becoming a habit
  • I could go on and on... Tis true what they say! The more you appreciate the more you have to appreciate!
<< me riding the appreciation turkey (I'm not sure that's a thing but it should be)

Thanks guys Yes I'm buzzing to hit 3 weeks! Got to be extra vigilant though because it's "Thirsty Thursday" in AV's diary. So with that in mind I'll quickly appreciate SR, you lovely people and all my skills & coping tools! I need these things a lot! Especially at weekends x

oh dear, however did it get to 1am ... I found the arcade here that's how :/ I am grateful for:

The arcade tonight taking my mind off of cravings. I'll beat that pesky Mah Jongg Solitaire yet.
My resolve to make it through the night sober no matter what!
Got more done today than I have in a long time mainly for distraction but that's as good a reason as any to declutter and workout.
Had a lot of fun with my little girl sorting through old pics
Its friday tommorrow! Only one more school run before sleep ins.
Candle lit bath again.
Fun sober weekend plans.
