I said proportion, and I meant proportion, i.e. "in relation to the rest of us whack jobs on here" my dearest Anatidae :
Proportion (as defined Oxford English Dictionary American Edition)
"A part, share, or number considered in comparative relation to a whole"
Granted, US OED doesn't have the historical clout of UK OED, however, I've misplaced the magnifying glass with which I read my condensed edition. . .
We're a family here, after all--each different but making a whole greater than our individual sum.
Thus, order is neither egalitarian nor organic enough for me in this context.

Regarding "whack jobs"...I side with Vale; it is of the highest "order". You can liken it to the degree of a polynomial:
y(x) = a + bx + cx^2
Here, the order is 2. If we're discussing my AXGF, it's something like:
y(x) = exp(x^oo)
where oo -> infinity. Try plotting that function...
( Geek mode off )

.....In an advanced state of guarded confusion, Vale valiantly attempted to stand his ground.
He had no Earthly idea what the hell Hawkeye and Zoso were talking about-----BUT
HE DESPERATELY NEEDED THEM TO BE UNAWARE OF THIS FACT.
Overwhelming a ducks simple neural net is like dividing by zero-----and SR
members deserve better than the distressing sight of an alternately fibrillating
and catatonic duck.
It was at that very moment that Vale lifted his eyes to heaven (there is a last time
for everything).....dropped his HP 50g Graphing Calculator..
...and spontaneously exploded.
Justice was served in the most poetic fashion when BOTH Zoso and Hawkeye were
informed by their respective dry cleaners that.........
whatever this crap mixed with feathers was------it WASN'T coming out of their garments.

I still have disability money, so if I left soon enough, I'd be fine, even if I had to stay with family for a bit.
Honestly, not much. I'm a master at "slumming it" if I have to. He is pretty much the opposite, so I'd probably have as much if not more financial stability on my own. Also, I could possibly get public housing assistance in the future.
Really, it's just the moving out part itself that scares me. Once I'm out, I'd be fine.

Moving out IS scary.....it's a material acknowledgement of the awful path
and the drastic steps needed to remedy it.
You ARE up to it!
Getting distance may be just the thing he needs as a wake-up call that there is a problem. He may choose to address the issue and get some help.
Or not--sometimes they aren't ready to quit yet, but you at least are out of it.

The sad truth I have learned is that no "confrontation" would make any
difference at all.
The real deal is........"continue to believe in my BS, or I will dump you for
someone that will".
There is not, nor will there EVER be, a shortage of broken souls to take him
in.It is your choice whether to join that club or say "no thanks".

This is just so true!!! No confrontation with the addict has EVER made a difference in our situation. AND, he has found a broken soul to take him in.
