Thank You God ... Part 15
Thank You God ... Part 15
Thank you God that this April, we celebrate Easter, my Twin Granddaughters age 10, and my Sobriety Date tomorrow 4/22/82, 34 years! I believe it to be a Miracle, attributed to God's love and the support of other sober friends (who I call Angels) and for my Father (Kenneth) who passed away in 1981. He lead me toward AA, having 4 years sober at the time himself. I am eternally grateful. Yes, he was an Alcoholic and sometimes difficult while drinking...but we knew he loved us and wanted the best for us. I hope Dad knows that I try to carry the message as he requested. When I am low I feel his presence and it brings me peace. He would be so happy about the SR Website, accessible to all and especially by me, who can't always get out due to Neuropathy.
Thank you God for the following that was on my calendar yesterday:
"Our anxiety over what we find in the future keeps us from seeking the steadier ground and broader view afforded by the present. We think of now as a place of boredom or sudden pain - because that has been our primary experience of it. So it requires a leap in faith just to try to settle into quietness and mental wholeness."
Thank you God for giving me the strength to take that leap!

Thank you God for giving me the strength to take that leap!
Thank you God for the ability to still drive and my car. I need to see my Doctor today and he is over 20 miles away. Thank you also that the Neuropathy is less painful than yesterday from all the sugar and sodium. The sugar and sodium wreak havoc for me every time. Back to home cooking today and a strict diet!!
Thank you God for teaching me to love the person I am becoming each day, which helps me in turn to love You and others more deeply.
Thank you God for the knowledge of knowing that what I once considered a weakness has become my strength.
Thank you God for day 17. You've given me opportunities to make a difference, and I pray that I continue to do so.
