Zero, back in the 70s my dad had a t shirt with a sunrise on it and it said "I'm so horny even the crack of dawn looks good." It happens.
Rob, I never knew the name of that song was Frankenstein. I have never even heard of The Edgar Winter Group. Then on the way home I am singing along to this song...look down at my radio and see Edgar Winter

The mountain is high, the valley is low
And you're confused 'bout which way to go
So I flew here to give you a hand
And lead you into the promised land

So, come on and take a free ride (free ride)
Come on and take it by my side
Come on and take a free ride

Aw, cack, blah...one thing I've never suffered from, but from what I've heard, they are crippling. Glad you're back!

Hi Robot, I know all the doctor appointment and testings and poking and probings can be exhausting. Glad you in control and enjoying some independence and relaxation at home. Moo Mwah, my friend.

So, Cow? Did you play that game when the doctor puts the light in one of your ears and you ask "So, how many fingers am I holding up?" You can tell a lot about the doctor by the way he/she answers.....

Love from Lenina

Hey Cow!
Great to hear from you. Lovin' that pic too.

Yeah, got it going on at home! Awesomely better here than hospital hospitality, lol.

Hey D!
Glad you're getting over that migraine hell( for now) Melissa has them all too often. Nothing easy about migraines. Anyways, great to see you!

Hey Friends!
Good Morning!

You know, I'm thinking this line of "Authenticity" threads will be the last. I'll be starting something else soon enough, no worries, as I'm loving the ongoing conversations, support, and excellent friendships. I'm way too hooked in to this community to not participate now. This thread series in three parts now covers a lot of good ground on what it means to be an individual, and how being such relates (or doesn't) to our personal circumstances. I revisit it time and time again, and will continue to do so. The wealth of the thread series has totally surpassed my expectations.

When originally created, this series had no idea of how my mortality with respect to my near future would play out as it has. We know differently now, and so I'm thinking to repurpose myself with this knowledge well in mind.

So until we reach the thread's routine 500+ limit, its still on, and I'm grateful as can be to each and everyone of you who contribute from yourselves into our conversations.

I'm very grateful for this thread, and for having been able to participate from the beginning. I've gotten so much out of it for myself also that I could not easily put into words. You can definitely count me in whatever topic and sequel is coming next. And more than anything, please take your time if you need to shift your focus elsewhere. Your open-minded, goal-directed, decisive and also sensitive and receptive approach is something I admire endlessly and also relate to in many ways. Looking forward to the next phase, whenever and whatever it is going to be

Have a great day!

Good morning, Rob & Melissa. If this happens to be the last day of this thread, thank you for all that you've expressed & for your inspirations and instigations to others.

Morning gang!
Courage said it well.....inspirations and instigations. Being part of this thread has prodded me forward to live a more examined life.....and not the kind of examining that keeps one cloistered alone inside ones head....but the kind that gets me out of my own head and involved and interested in other peoples lives....which is really what it's all about!
Xoxo

This thread has made me keenly aware just how precarious life is. Tis a gift with a set amount of time. Make the most of your days... the are like sands thru the hour glass.

Robby, did you mention that you are writing a book? I've been thinking quite a bit the last few weeks about how not drinking alcohol for the last year has allowed me to go through an uninterrupted spectrum of emotions. This has resulted in closure and peace as things come my way. Genuine calm. The calm came after the unanticipated peaks and troughs and I anticipate this will happen many more times regarding many more subjects and events. In this context i was considering how you wrote earlier in the thread that you feel young but have had so much life (i cannot go back to re-read unfortunately). How have you arrived at a peaceful place? How did you arrive at calm? Will your process be included in your writings?

Thinking about you all and hope to catch up later! Be well Robby and Melissa.
