I think it's what Tom said. In my area at some step meetings, when a step is completed, concentrate on the same # Tradition before going on to the next step. It can vary depending on the group.

Whew, I was worried. At first I thought it was one of those meetings where they wear hoods and carry torches and all the old timers tell you you are going to die if you don't go to a meeting every day for the rest of your life.
But since it was mentioned, yes, I believe it is a study/discussion from the 12&12 book. Or the 12 traditions as amended to the big book in subsequent editions. It's a good meeting to go to. You will get an idea of what AA is about. Since there are 'no rules' the traditions are a sort of 'by-laws' for the group.

I'll add that without the Traditions there would be NO AA as we know it now. It was set up for very serious reasons and in this age of greed would have been sabotaged long ago. Can you imagine AA named rehabs?

It was not a Traditions study. They call themselves traditionalists because they adhere to the originals tenets and principals of AA.
No touchy feely stuff....no hoods or torches. Lol
Time to get ready for my wife's entire family to come over....drinks and hilarity will ensue....but I won't be a part of the drinking.
Not me.....not today.

Does this mean people will start identifying themselves as AA traditionalists? It's tough for us alcoholics to keep things simple.
Happy Easter, to all those who celebrate it.
