Nausea while being sober
I'm an alcoholic for one year now (drinking everyday - no liver problem at all). Is it normal to have nausea when the effects of alcohol go away? When I'm sober I'll eat just a bit, once a day, when I'm drunk I can eat a pizza alone.
I had a pretty bad problem a few months ago: Although I stopped drinking completely for a month, I needed 15 days to eat normally again, with normal appetite and without wanting to vomit everytime I eat.
I really don't want to stop drinking completely (maybe I'm not welcome in here for that), but what do you think about all these? You've certainly experienced that sort of problems.

alcohol disrupts the normal digestive tract and the pH balance....when we don't drink, we start to feel the effects it's caused and it has to take time to get normal, which it can't, if we still drink.
see your doctor, please!

I'm 25 years old. The doctors cannot find any physical problem and I don't really want to quit drinking. I'm doing my best to control it. Drink occasionally. But I can't do that if I can't eat while I'm not drunk. I drink everything, but usually it's vodka.
Welcome Hyle!
Alcohol can definitely cause stomach and digestive problems, although only a doctor can really make an individual diagnosis. In any case, continuing to drink will only make your problems worse.
We understand how hard it is to imagine a life without drinking. Alcoholics try countless ways to cut down, take time off (like you did), changed what we're drinking...... anythingexcept to stop completely. That's what addiction does to us.
Glad you posted today - you're welcome here any time.

I'm drunk right now (two bottles of vodka). The problem is that I don't want to feel bad while I'm sober, I want to feel like I used to. I think the problem is caused by the beers. Maybe it's a stomach problem, but I don't get it why it doesn't get worse since I continue drinking and it doesn't exist while I'm drunk.

Please get it checked out.
Alcohol is very irritating to our GI tracts (and most other bodily systems). The problem does not go away when we drink, we are just intoxicated and don't notice.
Yes, nausea is common the day after drinking, it's called a hangover!! And thankfully I don't experience those anymore!!
There are many health problems alcohol can cause or aggrivate in the GI tract, bleeding ulcers, Barrett's esophagus, hiatal hernias, cirrhosis, hepatitis, and pancreatitis, to name a few!! Best to seek the advice of a medical professional, and give an honest accounting of your alcohol intake.
Wish you well. And if you ever want a solution to your alcohol problems, try visiting a local AA meeting!!

Friday night into Saturday I felt bad. No clue why. I was a little nauseous and I was really tired. In the past I would have tried to drink it away. Now I decided to rest, eat something and take a nap, which I never do, and by Saturday night I felt better.
I would have never listened to my body four months ago. I would have just drank through it. I would not have wanted to waste precious drinking time taking a nap.

I had all the tests required. Liver, kidneys, heart, stomach and lungs seem completely healthy. However I got nausea even ten days after I stop drinking. I can eat too much while being drunk, I can't eat anything without coughing and wanting to vomit while being sober. I thought it was a liver disease that's why I stopped drinking back then, but the doctor couldn't find a physical cause of the problem. I suppose it's just withdrawal symptoms and I either have to stop for months or drink more so I won't feel them.

This is a serious medical issue and should be addressed with qualified medical professionals. If the first doctor can find nothing, then consult another - try a specialist (e.g. Gastroenterologist) or one familiar with alcoholism.

I suggest you google alcohol abuse. On nearly every single medical site, there's a list of physical ailments associated with alcohol.
Down that list, you will find a host of issues related to the gastrointestinal tract.
Good luck!

I had similar problems myself. Though as many have said, damage to a lot of organs can or could be cause for nausea when eating, as they're almost all involved in some step of the process.
It could also be withdrawals too, which is up in the brain. That's what I suspect was my problem. I wasn't smart enough to go to a doctor though.

No problem with your asking, but yeah, nothing's going to help much as long as you keep creating the same problem. I hope you decide to stop drinking - if you think you can't, then get some help. You don't want to find out one day that you've caused permanent damage.
